One-on-One Instructor Led "Diversity Sensitivity Training"

(The inappropriate behavior could be: discriminating against a protected class, harassing another staff member, telling inappropriate jokes, verbalizing a racial slur, using inappropriate language in the workplace or sending inappropriate emails.)
  • You need to provide training that is part of performance management program
  • The court system has ordered training as a result of sentencing
  • A company hires a new employee or supervisor who has not yet completed the corporate onsite diversity training.

What Makes Us Unique?

Upon completion of the individual training, we schedule a call back to your HR representative and provide them with verbal feedback as to how the training went and if any additional steps or training is recommended to help the employee and protect your company. We provide you with an unbias second opinion. Once the training is completed we mail you a certificate of completion that satisfies the requirements for training.

Presentation Style

The presentation style for this program is one-on-one with your employee (at your location) connecting with our instructor via the Internet and webcam on our side. The employee receives the same presentation as if they were in one of our general training sessions. Because it is one-on-one we can customize the program to address the issue(s) that made the training a necessity. The instructor interacts with the participant throughout the training and leaves room for discussions and questions where appropriate. A handout is provided as an aid for note taking and to give the participant concrete examples to take with them after the training.

Module 2: Perceptions

  • How do we form our ideas and attitudes?
  • Where do they come from?
  • Identify the factors that influence how we perceive others
  • Identify and assess the impact of past conditioning on our current attitudes about people who are different
  • Recognize and understand the levels of personal awareness
  • Factors that influence our perceptions: Values, Biases, Aura, Projection
  • Recognize and appreciate that we tend to react most strongly to visible differences

Module 3: Stereotypes

  • Where do stereotypes come from?
  • Stereotyping is not limited to those who are biased. We all use stereotypes all the time. They are a kind of mental shortcut
  • What to say and what not to say to someone at work

Module 4: Biases and Prejudices

  • Where do biases come from?
  • Identify some of the biases people may have
  • Identify common prejudices and reactions to issues of differences
  • Understand that they are NOT alone in their perceptions of differences—everyone has biases and prejudices
  • Explore and recognize their personal biases and prejudices

  • Scheduled Monday-Friday from 9:00 AM through 5:00 PM Eastern Time
  • Handouts/Workbook (PDF file sent to client)
  • Setup of video training program
  • Certificate of Completion sent via mail to HR office
  • After training conference call with HR representative for feedback
  • Note: Written reports are not included in this package
